Welcome!
Wonderland Preschool was established in May 1984 to fill a need in the community. It is owned and operated by Anna Gibbs and Lynda Putnam. We are located downstairs at the First Congregational Church of Pembroke, UCC, 301 Pembroke Street, Pembroke, NH. Our main objective is to help young children feel comfortable with their developing skills and social behavior. A learning atmosphere is created through our curriculum of games, exercises, toys, music, movement and simple handicrafts; held together with a whole lot of love. These activities are designed to help these little ones gain confidence and take pride in a variety of learning experiences.
We offer the following programs:
2-Day Class
We offer a Tuesday/Thursday morning program for 3 and 4 year old children. The 2-Day Class program is geared toward socialization and encouraging children to be comfortable in group situations. Age appropriate activities and games are the basis for this group. This class is kept small for the younger or shy child. Art, music, movement, science, language, math and reading readiness are introduced to these children. We have space for 16 students in this class.
Class time: 9:00-11:30 am
3-Day Classes
Our Monday/Wednesday/Friday morning or afternoon program is for 4 and 5 year old children. The 3-Day Classes are based on socialization and learning through games and activities appropriate for the older preschool age child. Art, music, movement, science, language, math and reading readiness are included in these activities. The 3-Day Classes are more advanced than the 2-Day program, having curriculum that is a little more in-depth in these areas. These classes have space for 20 students in each class.
All of these programs are play based as children learn best through their play!
Class times:
Morning Class: 9:00-11:30 am OR
Afternoon Class: 12:15-2:45 pm
